How To Win 2025!
Jan 07, 2025For most people, today is pretty much the first day of the year.
If you're sat reading this after eating one too many mice pies and drinking the river Liffey dry of Guinness,
Then this email is the perfect place for you to start your 2025 health & fitness endeavours.
Think of it as somewhat of a 'call to arms'.
I want to arm you with the tools necessary to make 2025 your best year yet!
Let's get stuck in...
How To Win 2025!
Now, there are a few things I want you to understand going into this new year.
- You will fail.
- You will want to quit.
- You will question yourself.
- You will lose motivation.
- You will feel frustrated.
You might be sat there thinking 'fu*k me Mark you're a bundle of joy this year!'
But what I've said is nothing more than reality. And do you know how I know this?
Because I experienced all of those things last year.
- I failed multiple times.
- At times I felt like quitting.
- There wasn't a day that went by that I didn't question myself and what I was doing with my business and life.
- On numerous occasions I felt my motivation drop.
- I couldn't count how often I felt frustrated at my progress!
But if you were to ask me honestly how my year went?
I'm pretty damn happy with it.
Could it have went better?
Of course.
Did I hit my client target?
Nope.
Did I read as many books as I wanted?
Christ no!
But it's all part and parcel of the journey.
If I were to let a few setbacks derail me, then all the progress I've made up until this point would be wasted.
Time, money, energy. All wasted!
So I'd really like you to remember that this year. Be ok with setbacks. Be cool with the odd drop-off in motivation. Accept that you'll feel frustrated at times.
But DON'T let it stop you.
No in order to set you up for success with your health and fitness this year I want you to do 3 things:
- Set goals
- Set habits
- Set intentions
Set goals: I suggest you pick 3-5 BIG goals for the year.
Some of the areas you can cover include:
- Self
- Health
- Wealth
- Business
- Relationships
Now, when it comes to goal setting you'll probably hear a lot about SMART goal settingand this is something that I use with clients, but not for big goals.
And the main reason is the R part of it. Realistic.
Because I'll be honest when it comes to BIG goals, I don't like to be overly realistic with them.
Being realistic is your way of staying in your comfort zone and your comfort zone is the place where your goals go to die.
So instead, I opt for a more unrealistic approach.
And what is that they say about shooting high.
"Aim for the moon, if you miss you may hit a star."
Think big and bold!
Set habits: Then once you'e got your 3-5 big goals, it's time to decide how you will actual achieve them.
Goals don't get achieved on their own, so you need to get very clear on the work that's needed to turn them from wish into reality.
And how we do that is through our habits.
I'll use myself for example here.
One of my big goals this year is to take in 50 new coaching clients through the doors of the my Paradigm Project Coaching Program. This ain't happening by chance.
So I've broken it down into daily and weekly habits, some of which include:
- Posting at least 2 pieces of great content each day.
- Writing 52 newsletters in 2025 (1 per week).
- Engaging in daily conversations online and providing as much value as possible.
This is how I want you to approach your goals. Think about the habits that are needed in order for you to be successful and start implementing them.
Set intentions: This is a new one for me this year.
On a subconscious level I kinda did this already, but this year I'm very aware of what I'm doing. I'm being intentional.
For instance, one of my intentions for the year is to 'lean into the fear'.
This is me telling myself to push past fear and harness a stronger mindset around the things that scare me.
From a personal fitness, and business point of view I plan on having my best year yet and none of that is possible if I let fear stop me from pursuing what I want.
Setting intentions is your way of ensuring that you not only stick to your habits, but that you make them a part of your new identity.
And if you can do that, then your goals will be smashed!
Examples include:
Work-Life Balance - “I intend to establish boundaries between work and personal life by setting a clear finish time for my workday"
Self-Care - “I intend to dedicate time to activities that bring me joy and relaxation, such as reading, hobbies, or connecting with nature"
Physical Health - “I intend to move my body every day, whether through exercise, stretching, or walking, to feel strong and energised"
And write all of this down with a pen and paper.
List out your goals, write down your habits, and be clear with your intentions.
Then type it into your phone. Write it on your whiteboards (like I've done). Put them in as many places as you possible can so they're always front and centre of your mind.
Do all of this and you are set for an extraordinary 2025!
If you want to make it even more extraordinary, then you NEED to come to my webinar this Thursday.

Quote for the day
"It is health that is real wealth and not pieces of gold and silver."
- Mahatma Gandi
Ask a rich man dying on his death bed would he trade his wealth for great health.
Besides the odd outlier, it's going to be a yes every time.
Your health is your ultimate asset, but it can also be your greatest liability.
Which one depends on you and you alone.
Right, that's us done for today. Go and get to work on those tasks I've set you and hopefully I'll catch you on Thursday.
